Can house boats be used in the great lakes of Michigan?

Is it possible to operate a house boat in the great lakes or is the water to rough for this type of boat?

1. I not real familiar with the waves, but, you need to ask and be sure. If, you not see a lot of Houseboats, it may not be a good choice. It can get swamped from on coming waves on the bow. I have seen people rig a V type setup on boats like this and they be OK, but, I have also seen Houseboats in the Gulf floating nose down from being swamped.
2. I am sure you could run one in protected bays, rivers coves, but you should always be aware of the weather and the weather changes. safe boating is no accident! good luck!
3. It depends on the size of boat. Usually - yes. But if the weather is bad then it will be dangerous.
