CHEAP Unique WEDDING & venue ideas for less then 60?
My partner and I have been together for 8 years, have our third child on the way and are STILL not married! Finances are our biggest issue. Luckily I want a wedding which is small and intimate. And although I can come up with ideas for cheaper alternatives for table decorations, dresses and food I can't find anywhere unique or unusual. I love the idea of a beach wedding and bbq at a beach house.... but WHERE?? I figured we could hire a beach house for longer to double up as a honeymoon but then is it going to be any cheaper? By the time you hire a marquee, outdoor loo, tables and seating etc... it's sooo expensive! I also thought about a house boat and have a WHOLE long weekend wedding for the top 20 most important people. But where is everyone going to sleep? PLEASE please PLEASE... any advice would be much appreciated? Thanks in advance :-)

- for a bride on a budget your looking at expensive places.. how about a family memebers back yard? or a park? alot of times you dont have to pay alot... or if you really want a beach.. try and find one that has a picnic area that you can reserve.... and what do you mean less then 60? $60 a person?
- Vineyard, Sailing Club, Yacht, Botanic garden?
- For a unique idea try and think of places where you and your husband like going to together. This could be anywhere! I am guessing you mean less than 60 guests? There are so many options, but ask around. Your local council will have details on having a wedding in any public place (ie the beach, a park, etc) Otherwise check with the owners of the private places and see if they are willing to accommodate a smallish wedding.
- We're only having 60 ppl too, so I've chosen to have it on a boat, which yes, isn't exactly cheap, but we're not having the whole sit down dinner thing, we're not having a cake, and theres no need for decorations and flowers etc, so it really works out quite well! Also the boat works in lieu with a liquor store, and they buy back all the alcohol we don't use, so it works out well.
- a park, botanical garden, a family member's backyard
