Is it possible to rent a house-boat in the backwaters for 1 week but a small and simple one.?

whith its captain of course. What i can find on the web are only luxury and expensives offers. They also are for very short trips. i am interested by all the places in the Kerala

1. I don't know you can able to rent house boat for a week or so on net. But definitely it is possible to rent for a week. If you are having any friends in kerala you can bargain for that at that place. But I am not sure, u will able to enjoy week in house boat.
2. go to kumarkom in kerala which is the best for backwater. do no go to any website just go there have a bargain with the local owner who will be captain of the boat and if you need for 1 week then surely he will give you a good price, but for that you have to go there and should have bargaining ability .
