Bay River Houseboats

Where can I catch Stripers in the Raritan River? And what time of the year do they come up?

I know they come up through the bay up past New Brunswick.

  1. when you're fishing their, if their are other people catchin' fish ask em what they're using.
  2. If you have access to the Bay, you'll find that the striper fishing is much better there than in the river. While fish do migrate into the Raritan, most of the stripers that are there from April thru October are basically heading to the Hudson, which is the primary breeding grounds for stripers north of the Chesapeake. If you don't have a boat, try to find shore access as close to the mouth of the Raritan as possible.
  3. use clams for stripers, i caught a 13 lb striper.
