What has the most fish in it this time of year, little ponds, big lakes, the Bay (ocean), or tidal rivers?
I want I to know if a lot fish are still in freshwater ponds or if I should go to the bay, or tidal rivers. Does the size of a pond make a difference? What is good to go fishing in now?

- the Bay (ocean)
- well, here in california, during this time of year, you will hardly get any bite. during the colder times of the year, lakes are the best for strippers and bass.
- It really depends where in the world you are. In general, the larger the body of water, the more fish there will be in it, but the real question is whether they'll be biting. Sudden drops in the water temperature (like when a cold front comes through) or other changes in the conditions can shut off the bite for several days; also as the water cools, fishes' metabolisms slow down so they don't need to eat as much. On the other hand, weather and conditions permitting, you can catch fish just about any time of year. But for specifics, mention where you're located and there will probably be someone who knows about the fishing in that area, or at least websites which give fishing reports for that area.
- small ponds are good all the time, big lakes are good but you need to find the fish there, some times they are hard to find.if there is water ,there is fish the secret is how to make them bite.my favorite place to fish is the small ponds.get a white spinner bait and get in a small pond if there's a bass in there he will hit that.good luck.
- there will all ways be more fish in the ocean than any lake size of lakes makes no difference you can have more fish in a small pond than some big lakes depending on how they are stocked ,the best way to find out is ask locals to what ever lake you plan on fishing and when. you can catch more fish in three hours in the evening than sitting all day in the right place at the right time.hope this helps
- I guess it depends where you live. Here *mid atlantic* we get the fish coming down from there migration. Fall is the best fishing here, spring is ok but fall is better for some reason.
